November's 'Your Almshouse Magazine' is all about remembrance and new faces!
A big welcome to all the new residents at Doughty's, James Knight, and Michel's Almshouses. What a busy month it's been - the Harvest Supper raised £200 for Water Aid, and the Macmillan Coffee Morning brought in a brilliant £525!
Major Phil Shannon MBE shared wonderful stories from his time in the Army, from starting as a Junior Musician to leading the Welsh & Irish Guards bands. Emma is launching the Good Neighbour Awards - a lovely chance to say thank you to neighbours who help out and brighten your day.
Don't miss the Service of Remembrance on 9th November, Quiz Night on 20th November, and the Christmas Lunch on 11th December (with a special surprise!). There are trips to the Bank of England and a garden centre, plus Film Club screenings to enjoy.
