Juliet Ames-Lewis
Juliet joined The Richmond Charities as Director in March 2015 and became Chief Executive in January 2018. Prior to joining The Richmond Charities, Juliet was Executive Clerk at Isleworth & Hounslow Charity, another almshouse charity just across the river, for eight years. Before taking up her roles within the almshouse world, Juliet’s previous working life included time at Christian Aid, Action Aid, Common Purpose, a charity designed to improve the way that cities function by bringing together key decision makers from the public, private and voluntary sector, and working alongside Rabbi Julia Neuberger at The King’s Fund, a healthcare policy think-tank.

Lorraine Bradley
Lorraine has lived in the Richmond Borough since she was 18 months old and she attended local schools and brought up her two children in Richmond. Lorraine joined The Richmond Charities in 2012 she is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. Her previous roles included working at Kingston Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital. Lorraine was a volunteer at Age UK Richmond (Meadows Hall) and then a Manager at Barnes Centre before returning to be the Manager at Richmond. She first joined The Richmond Charities as Deputy Scheme Manager and then became Scheme Manager in February 2016.

Joanne Davison
Jo joined The Richmond Charities in January 2018. She is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. Jo’s previous roles included managing a supported living service for people with learning disabilities, a care home manager for older people and Senior Healthcare Assistant with the Princess Alice Hospice.

James Dorey
James has worked for The Richmond Charities since January 2008 and is Property & Maintenance Manager. His role is to oversee refurbishment works, major works, maintenance and repairs on the almshouses and investment properties. Before joining The Richmond Charities, James worked for various commercial surveyor firms in North London and the West End where he gained experience in management, maintenance and repairs, which was an ideal fit with managing The Richmond Charities’ almshouses and residential property.

Rebecca Evans
In April 2024, Becky became a part of The Richmond Charities' staff. Before this role, her most recent position involved working for an organisation which assisted small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in achieving their net zero targets. Becky has worked in administration roles in the corporate and education sector and is excited about transitioning to a charitable organisation within her local borough.

Debbie Flaherty
Debbie joined The Richmond Charities in February 2016. She is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. In the past, Debbie worked in an Inner London Housing office where she spent 20 years working in rehousing. She then moved with her family to live in New Zealand for nine years where she worked for Auckland Council.

Roxanne Gent
Roxanne joined The Richmond Charities in March 2021 as Health, Safety & Security Officer. Prior to working for the charity, Roxanne worked for 7 years as a painter and decorator in the maintenance team at Wandle Housing Association in South London.

Samantha Maskell
Samantha joined the Richmond Charities in January 2023 as Head of Finance, Policy & Governance. Having studied French and Spanish at University, Samantha went onto qualify as a Chartered and Certified Accountant whilst working in audit looking after a number of different Companies and Charities. Prior to joining The Richmond Charities, Samantha spent twelve years working for a B2B Marketing Company in Central London; supporting the business grow from a 12-person organisation to over 450 when sold in 2021.

Linda Prendergast
Linda joined The Richmond Charities’ staff team in 2000 and she is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. Linda was born in Scotland and has a varied working background, ranging from cook, barmaid and café owner to Auxiliary nurse, care assistant with Social Services and a Housing Manager in sheltered accommodation.

Claire Sanecka
Claire joined The Richmond Charities' staff team in March 2020. She is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. Prior to joining the charity, Claire worked as a Care Assistant and then Field Care Supervisor for Bluebird Care Agency. Claire is also a qualified counsellor and volunteers at MIND, the mental health charity.

Rev'd Derrick Thompson
Derrick joined The Richmond Charities as Chaplain in May 2023. Born in Scotland, Derrick has also lived in Sussex, Essex, Yorkshire, Devon, Bristol and London. He is married with two adult children and three grandchildren. Before joining The Richmond Charities, he had been a cook, a Salvation Army Officer (church minister), a manager in a residential centre for homeless men, a manager in a community centre and most recently a Parish Priest. He was formerly Vicar of St Paul’s, Thornton Heath.

Genevieve Thompson
Gennie joined The Richmond Charities in September 2020. She is one of the charity’s six Scheme Managers. Gennie’s previous roles include experience in a range of roles within adult and children’s social care and most recently she was Estate Manager for a retirement block of flats, The Greenwoods in Harrow, which is run by Anchor Hanover Housing.

Mick Tinson
Mick joined The Richmond Charities in April 2016 as Heath, Safety & Security Officer. In January 2021 he was promoted to be Projects & Estates Manager. Mick is responsible for the management of new almshouse development projects, major works and refurbishments and health, safety and security at The Richmond Charities. Before joining The Richmond Charities, Mick worked in a new 1.1 million square foot mixed-use development in the heart of Walton-on-Thames. He managed the Security Department for nine years, working very closely with the client (Savills Management Resources). Being part of the management team taught Mick a multitude of skills which enabled him to succeed in his role with The Richmond Charities.

Gerry Wilson
Gerry has been The Richmond Charities’ Caretaker since 1995 and is the charity’s longest serving member of staff. Gerry was born in Sedgefield, Durham, is married to Bernadette and they have three children and eight grandchildren. Prior to his move to The Richmond Charities, Gerry spent time as an industrial electrician, a steel worker and a telecoms engineer.
